The configuration is the order.
Product options were made for simple choices. Made-to-order work is not simple. Makewright collects the full specification once, decides whether it can check out or needs judgment, and never asks your team to re-key what the customer already said.

Route
Standard configurations backed by real Shopify merchandise go straight to cart. Formula-priced or review-required work becomes a complete quote request instead.
03Merchant quote inbox
Approve
Review the exact specification, set the price and deposit terms, approve once, and Makewright creates a Shopify draft order with a secure invoice link. Approval does not charge anyone.
04Shop floor
Make
The customer pays the deposit invoice, you invoice the balance when the work is ready, and one printable spec sheet carries the configuration, files, and payment state to production.
What the order carries
Everything a custom order needs to get made and paid.
Built for furniture, cabinetry, millwork, fixtures, signage, and anything else made one order at a time. Every plan includes the core configurator, quote inbox, approvals, draft orders, and spec sheets.
Deposits and balances
On Growth or Pro, approve a quote with a whole-number deposit from 5% to 90%. Once it is paid, create a separate balance invoice when you are ready. The customer pays each Shopify invoice; Makewright never charges the balance automatically.
Printable customer quotes
Every quote request gets a signed link to a print-ready document the customer can save as a PDF and forward to whoever signs off.
Production spec sheets
One page for the shop floor: the specification in your fulfillment labels, customer files, deposit and balance state, and order references.
Edit in cart
Shoppers reopen a configured cart line with every choice prefilled, change their mind, and the cart replaces the line cleanly, add-ons included.
Request-pricing mode
Hide amounts on the storefront per product and route every configuration through your quote desk. The calculated price stays private in your inbox.
Versioned templates
Published templates are immutable, and you can test pricing before publishing, so an old quote always keeps the exact logic it was priced with.

The storefront block exposes six structured WebMCP tools, so an on-page assistant can explore a product's options, respect its constraints, and prepare a configuration or quote on the shopper's behalf. The shopper keeps the final say at every step that costs money.

- An assistant submits choices, never prices. Totals are calculated on the server, with safety rails that catch invalid totals.
- An assistant can explore options and prepare an order. The shopper gives the final approval; it is never delegated.
- The merchant's constraints hold for agents exactly as they do for people. Custom work still routes to the quote desk for review.
- The same app block serves human shoppers. Assistants are an addition to the storefront, not a requirement.
